RX antenna replacement
If your wire is broken, you can splice it. Make it about 39 " long.
You can also solder a new one to the PC board. I never heard anyone say to leave an inch of the original, sounds silly, suppose you tear it out of the receiver,??
If you are talking about Putting a Deans antenna on it, then Deans recommends leaving about 6" of the original.
