Default RE: Anyone flying a Seagull EP X-ray?

Thanks for the input Scooter II.

I have decided against one of these now despite your glowing report, instead I am thinking of going with the Hyperion Katana F3A 3D 10e instead. I can use a Hacker A20-22L and the TP1320's I have lying around at the moment doing nothing. This plane should give me the smoothness of an F3A but the agility of a 3D. So far It's had good reports, with only the usual caveats about certain weak areas.

All these types of planes seem to need strengthening to some degree - I think the designers go a little too far sometimes in their efforts to save weight. Main spars and undercarriages seem to be the most prone to problems, although I have heard recently of a certain plane's elevators snapping in half! More carbon fibre in high stress areas has to be the answer.

Regards all,

Dave
