Default RE: The Australian bbq and beers

That'd be me,

Same all round fella's?

Everyone calls me Clovus from some line in a movie that I never saw, but what the... Anyway, I'm a hearing specialist (yep, you probably need disposable income when the RC addiction bites) doing my regional 'tour of duty'. I got into RC 3 years ago out of boredom, but was something I always thougth was cool.

I've churned and burned my way though an embarrasing amount of planes in my quest for the perfect park flier. I lost count at 20 of so. I finally realised you could glue 'em together again which slowed the carnage. Self taught probably helps explain that as well. I think I'm pretty close to the perfect 3 plane combo for me, 1 plane just can't do everything I want.

Currently awaiting orders:
MPXT , 480 eflite BL motor- almost the perfect park flier, just a bit more speed and control surfaces and it'd be there
Model Engines Extrafun ... damn near indestructible, chuck around flier. Crazy on BL stryker motor
EXTRA300 SHP - fantastic, 47.25"WS helps, a dream to fly

The others.... (not bad fliers either, just not such a rounded package)
CAP232 ,480 eflite BL motor - given to me by a mate, not bad 3d fun
GWS TM400 - stock with 3s lipo - low'n'slow
Red Arrows DF hawk - waiting to maiden with 4s for hopeful performance boost
Tres Wright Bullet - DF nanojet - 60mph in a 18"WS......a real handful.....

Awaiting construction...
UF BAE Hawk bumped down the list when the DF hawk came along
