I bought this plane a few months ago and also purchased the recomended 400T motor. The plane was great but the motor is just enough to fly the plane, had to use full throttle most of the time just to keep it in the air .
You could have tried putting a slightly bigger prop on it, say a 10x7SF to get better results.
