RE: WACO YMF
Hughes,
Didn’t have any shots that the show the stitching well, but here is what I do have of YMF Classic, NC 14081:
1 – Wide shot of the rudder and elevator showing the 4 fairings, tail wheel, rear fuselage, rear rudder and forward rudder. Also note how thin the stabilizer/elevator is.
2 – Closer view of the stabilizer/elevator. The airfoil is more of a long diamond than curved.
3 – Shot of the ground adjustable rudder tab.
4 – Not the best shot of the rudder stitching, but you can see the two rows of stitching and the top of the front fairing.
5 – Close up of the front rudder fairing and stabilizer profile. The ribs are just straight back over the main stabilizer spar that runs diagonally from the front inner corner to just in front of the rear outer corner.
6 – Elevator stitching can be seen. The shape of the rudder fairings can also be seen. Note rudder tab offset, rudder horns (w/springs and fairing over exit).
7 – Elevator hinge, reinforcement patch and flying wire attachment point.
