RE: Cessna wants royalties if you build a model of their planes!
The way I understand it, Cessna is going after the plans suppliers too. Which means that you won't be able to build that one-off for yourself, unless you draw your own plans too. How many of us will go to that length?
So, then, what about all of those old back issues of RCM, MAN, and MA that included a Cessna plan occasionally? Of course, those back issues were from friendlier times - before building an unlicensed scale model became a felony.
I see a future black market emerging: "Psssst. Hey buddy. Wanna buy some dope or Cessna plans? The first one's free and I'll cut ya a bargain if you'll tell some friends who might wanna do a little Scale RC."
