When the .80 was installed I went with 8.8 ratio. Seems right in the ball park. Some have tried the 8.4 and seem to like it. I dont need a head speed above 1800, the .80 at 8.8 can deliver 1800 and crank a rpm in the 15,000 + range which is well with in it's specs.
