but for now I decided to use that $20 off coupon for two Blinkys and a second charger! That is gonna be sweet being able to charge two packs at a time and have a backup charger in case one fails. Oh yeah!
Nice, I am jealous! I didn't get a Blinky after all I got another, commonsense rc or something.
HeliSmith,

Yes, manually balancing those packs with a 4Ohm 10W resistor was getting old very quickly! Well, that's the downside of electric models...to really do it right you need at least six batteries and two chargers so you can keep things going. Batteries and chargers are always a big investment...sometimes costing almost as much as the model itself! Anyway, I just tested out that 2100mah 15C Mega Power pack and there is a pretty big improvement in head speed and power over my 2100mah 10C TrueRC LiPos. One of those TrueRC packs is from last year and is definitely weak, but the other is relatively new so it looks like the difference is from the higher C rating. For $40 the Mega Power packs look to be the best deal around and are going to be my new choice for packs. For your next major purchase you should pick up two or three of those MP packs, a second charger and balancer. Just get something cheap like the Watt Age charger from Hobby People for $30. I've used mine a lot for a year and a half with no problems.
