Hi guys: Would like to hear from some fellas that own or have owned a PRP Xr80. Bought this car used on ebay.from a guy that had just broken in the engine and was getting out of R/C . I have never really had it on the ground running for any length of time due to problems starting the motor. The first starting the rod on the starting mechanisem broke and Prp sent me a new model with a one way bearing in it . Succeeded in starting the first time and tuned the motor and ran around a little to make sure it was broke in. Went to start it again and the one way bearing broke. Purchased another rod and the bearing and it broke on the second try. I then bought new motor mounts to lower motor so I could use my starter box. After several hours of adusting the box I cant get the motor to turn over. Have been in R/c for more than 10 years and have never ran into a problem such as this with any of my on road or off road vehicles. Even heated block and loosened plug and it wont turn over. I am at my wits end. Need all the help I can get. My local hobby shop stopped carrying PRP products on account of this problem.
