Default RE: XR80 starting problems

yikes. thats a lot of problems. well when i got my nitro evader st with a nice os. cv-r (not cv-rx) and he said he just broke it in. i had it start on the bump box. it took a good hour to get it started the first time, i was easy on the engine and i tryed to re tune due to, bogging in ecelleration, dieing when ideling, over heating constantly and hard starting. well after tune after tune for hours and hours of constant retune, it never ran right, then one day, it finally quit starting. i took it apart to see the damage, it had signs of sever pre-detonation and uneven wall ware. in futher inspection the inside bearing was missing it's race cage. i tryed to pry it out to save the engine, but it welded it'self in place. a rebild would be more that what the engine is worth.

what happens is people improperly break in the engines and bearings, sleeves and pistons wear rapidly and abnormaly.

uh, have you checked the glow plug and the ignihter voltage? i have found myself tuning and tuning and bumping the engine for hours and it turns up to be either a bad glow plug or a bad ignighter. change both of them out simontainiously to make sure the ignition system is fool proof. also, take out the carb and clean the hell out of it with some spray to make sure it isnt clogged. there is a chance the oil made a tiny pinpoint solid on one of the adjustment valves, clogging it.

also, my spelling is horrible.
