I believe the Memphis Belle was a completely different Mk of the B-17 from this model. Isn't this more along the
lines of the B-17C?

Here is the actual Memphis Belle B-17G being restored to non-flying museum state for display in Dayton, Ohio.

Here is the B-17G:
The Real Memphis Belle caught fire and crashed during the filming of the movie " The Memphis Belle." Nothing much was left of it after the crash... I have it on film of the actual crash.
The Memphis Belle was not originally a G Version, they weren't out until early 1944. It was about mid 1943 when the Memphis Belle had her final mission.
