That thing on the left stick is called the "throttle". It doesn't have to be wide open all the time is spite of what many will tell you

.
SLOW THE PLANE DOWN AND KEEP IT CLOSER. But really, get an instructor or a trash bag, all kidding aside.[:@]
Ya, i know now that was one of my problems.. I had that thing full bore when i was up in the skies, only time i really kicked it back when i tried to land the bloody thing.

I recommend you spend an hour or 2 with an instructor, this would speed up your skills a bunch. And what you well have learned in that short time, is going to take you a lot longer on your own.
I hopefully wont be completely self taught. I really do want to find an instructor here very shortly. Problem is im kinda in a remote area, away from the big city. I know i can get one in Edmonton but its a 2.5 hour drive all the time. I did however get in luck on this weekend though. The guys at the hobby shop there in the city gave me a name of the older gent where i live that happened to fly planes an one time or another. Havnt called him up yet, but hopefully he still flies and would like to show me a few things.
