Default RE: Replace 2nd Plane

I haven't owned a Pulse XT, so how exactly you should reinforce the landing gear I can't answer for certain. A search of discussion threads mentioning the Pulse XT should turn up plenty of suggestions, but I believe it's simply a matter of adding better/extra glue to the wooden landing gear blocks where they connect with the rest of the plane.

As for dual aileron servos, they allow you to dispense with aileron torque rods and provide more direct control over the control surfaces. This provides more solid control and removes a link in the setup that could cause problems later if the torque rods got "sloppy" and developed extra play.

Dual aileron servos also allow you to program in "flapperon" mixing where you can use your ailersons partially as landing flaps to slow the plane down an extra bit for really gentle landings. This too could help keep that landing gear where you left it.
