Default RE: axe cp thread

Hello, again. First, thanks for earlier replies and suggestions. I have the same amount in spare parts, batteries etc ordered and on the way as I paid for the Axe in the first place.
I've been doing the RADD thing (on stock battery - just get started and batt runs out) and practicing as much as I can. Thought I was doing pretty good, got the training gear back on and started the left / right tail movements. Then I thought "not too bad, I think I can lift it up and control it". Okay, that was my First mistake. Then I thought, yeah, doing OK, recovering pretty well, getting it back level not going more than 5 or 6 feet out of box, less than a foot off of ground, training gear helping, so on and so forth. Second mistake, I got it, I can recover, keep control etc. and GUESS WHAT? (you all saw this part coming didn't you) I lost control of it, hit an object and broke the main blade grip. I think I muttered something like oh! s***, and noticed that one blade was resting at a non-spec angle.
Yep, doing good, thought I was getting the hang of it, I (big I) could handle it, wasn't going to push it too much and the next thing I am doing is turning off the battery and controller and sitting down typing this message.
The point, when you think you got it, it gets you. I rushed beyond my capabilities and now I am waiting on my order so that i can fix it. Guess I will have some down time reading and trying to get it in my head not to rush things.
One question for those who do the flying on the floor trying to learn the controls etc.- does your machine slide/ scoot out of the box at the higher head speed. RADD says to keep it in the box, but mine wants to drift out of the box so I have to use a lot of right stick at 3 oclock and nudge to 12. Kind of hard to practice the 8 to 4 oclock movements when the bird is drifting. And it is hard to trim it when I can't get off the ground without it looking like a tilt -a- whirl at the local fairgrounds. Any suggestions?
Oh, it's OK to laugh at my misfortune. I knew better then and now. I will still do something stupid in the future though. We humans are so predictable.
