Default RE: axe cp thread

Too many stories of gloom and doom.
I am a 1/4 scale fixed wing RC pilot of many years trouble is almost all flying fields have been taken for housing developments I sold my last 1/4 scale Cap 232 several months ago.
I really missed the sticks so for the heck of it I picked up a Lama 4 and have put many hours on this cool little heli. I have wanted to go to the next level (I want the Trex 450SE) but the system is a little $$$ at the moment.
My son need blades for his Lama 4 so we found a local hobby shop close to the house. We walked into the shop of course the normal RC fixed wing stuff but RC helios everywhere.
We were there for several hours spent some time on the sim and was able to strike up a conversation with the resident Heli expert. Of course he recommended the Trex but during the course he offered to let me fly what he thought would be a fairly stable ( I was considering the Blade CP as an a starter) heli, he put the battery in of all things the AXE CP with trainer bars on the model.
He offered to let me fly the model in a large covered building in the rear of the store a little hesitant at first but I gave it the go.
A little over correcting but eventually had the model at a hover, the CCPM works pretty well as well as the HH of the gyro.
I ended up buying the kit he had a charged battery and we trimmed the helicopter out at the shop.
After getting the heli home I recharged the battery and headed for the empty garage, I flew long enough (8-9) minutes to discharge the battery for the first time on my on.
I am addicted to this rotor craft stuff and enjoy the heck out of the stock Axe.
It just seems so many have mechanical problems I hope this is not really an indication of the reliability of the helicopters as I read thru the threads.

OH well just to say hello as a new Axe CP owner.
