RE: Wheeeeeeee.......... Blade CP!
Choppers Here:
Well, after 100 plus of crash free flights, today I crashed my CP. However, it wasn't pilot error, it was pilot pre-flight inspection error.
I was just starting to do a slow left piro and it took a sudden nose dive, yanked the cyclic stick back all the way and was able to set it down. Nothing broken, lucky me. Tail rotor popped off, flybar paddles were knocked out of level, that's it.
Reason for the post, the pre-flight inspector (me) forgot to strap the battery in tightly and it worked it's way forward and out of the battery tray from normal vibration.
Apparently the sudden jerk of the battery falling out of the tray, brought the nose down for a nano second or two. Plus making the nose heavy being full forward and hanging by the wires. This all happened in the blink of an eye, so Never blink.(yuk-yuy)
Check the old battery for being secured,
