not having purchased the HBK2, I can't say for certain about the usability with DX7; however, in theory it should be rather simple plug and play with a receiver and programming the remote.

I'm guessing the programming would be similiar to the TREX, seeing how they are both ccpm, gyro, belt drive tails...
