After doing more research, I've read some contradictory posts on here about karbonite gears saying they don't like "shock". Mine have not lasted long enough to experience shock. And also that they should not be in anything heavier than twelve pounds, but the box says 1/4 scale applications.

My servo box states:

"KARBONITE Gear Train-
KARBONITE gears are four times stronger than
conventional white resin gears, and they are
less likely to strip under the shock and loads that
would usually break standard gears"

"APPLICATIONS
-Sport and high performance aircraft
to 1/4 scale"

My Giles 202 is not covered under hitec warranty even if their product would have caused a crash (thank the Man that I was able to land with one aileron in that crosswind in one piece). So I'm a little unnerved now....
