I can't get my SV27 started, either. Everything appears
to be fine except for the P.O.S. gas tank/cap. I have air,
fuel, and 'spark' but no ignition...
Before I spend more time trying to start the engine,
I was hoping someone could answer a question:
Looking into the exhaust pipe at the rear of the SV27,
does the pipe appear to have a solid aluminum 'wall'
in the middle of it?

try starting it at about 2 turns out instead of 2 and a half, this motor doesnt like to try to start eating all that fuel....once it starts for the first time, turn it to 2 and a half and it starts almost every time after 2 or 3 pulls............
also make sure you are priming the engine
