Default RE: Xtreme Power Systems...

George,
I had very similar experiences with XPS. Worked perfect until it didn't. Too risky for my jets right now. Maybe later. The product looks good and feels solid.

ORIGINAL: George

I used one when they first were released for sale on the website. I had issues of mine locking out in the same general area on two different aircraft (one prop, one jet). After I removed the system and posted my findings/experience here in the jet forum, it was discovered that my module antenna orientation may have been the culprit; although the information was not published any of the manuals up to that date. Hopefully they have included this CRITICAL information the later revisions. Needless to say, I lost confidence in the system and got rid of it so I did no further testing to prove or disprove his theory. That was too bad, I was really excited about the system and wanted it to work FOR ME. I know people are having success with it, but for me; the margin for success was too narrow.

If Futaba NEVER comes out with their system, I may try ExtremeLink again, hopefully all the issues will be worked out by that time.

My ACTUAL experience.
