i hope i can get some help from the people on this fourm. i live in this well basicly farm town and the people at the hobby shops know nothing so they are no help. for christmas i asked my family for a car that i could drift with and they came home with a smartech commando. ive looked all over the fourms and have not been able to find anything about it. im also compleatly new to hobby grade rc cars but im willing to learn and i really wanna get into drifting. my quistions are 1. should i scrap this car and buy my own and go from there 2. if so how much money can i expect to spend and what kind of car should i get?, im 17 and dont make that much money lol 3. if i keep this one is it going to be a good starter drifter? 4. i also had some trouble getting it started its gas powerd and i know i have to run it for a while but when i started it the cars wheels just started going and then it just died. can anyone possably answer that problem too? and most of all because i think it would be cool to get into one, is there any like drift compitions in the tristate area (nj,ny,pa)? any answers to these quistions would be great.
