I am getting ready to covermy hog bipe, I am using ultracote. Looking at your pics of the engine area, it looks like you just painted that area? Can you just paint over the wood? My astro hog I thinned epoxy and when it dried used dope to paint for fuel proof. You plane looks perfect for covering, mine has small areas that have wrinkles that I could not seem to get completely bout with the heat gun. I really want the hog bipe to come out nice. I have spent alot of time sanding smooth. Always looking for advice on how to cover as I have only 2 planes under my belt.
