Today I had a go with the water test again, this time with a battery out of a UPS and put in the water and put the powre on while I was holding it, 10seconds later(round about) smoke started to come from the speed controller, so I shut every thing off and tought it and burn my pow little finger.

The one good thing is that I emailed Graupner about the motors and they said that the are very out of date and Know have been replaced by the speed 500 E or the speed 600 the only differance is that the amp draw is a little bit less by not that much, so I am going with that just to give us a good start.
