I have had a couple of reports of soldering issues in one batch of units that has been addressed. I will be glad to replace the unit if you would like but it is most likely just cosmetic since all units are tested. As for the white power it is fiberglass dust from when the pannels (of many devices) were cut up. The units are now being alchol washed after cutting in the assembly process.
