Default RE: servo selection

I think it will work fine. The 401/9650 is the best way to go, but buying an enw gyro and digital servo is a pretty expensive outlay. I've run servos that were sopposedly much less than the current ideal and had good luck. On my trex's I run the 401/9650 combo and in really hard 3D I get them to blow out occasionally. Another example, in my Raptor 50 i stripped a tail servo gear once and had to use a futaba 3010 analog servo with my 401. It worked fine. I could even do piro flips with it. Sure, it blew out a little easier in fast backwards flight, but it was fine, for what it was. Often I think we go so far in trying to make responsible purchases we spend way out of line with what we meant to when a lesser quality purchase might fit our needs just fine. Having said all that, having made the case for simple economy, the tail is not the place to skimp when it comes to helis. So I feel a good quality gyro and tail servo is a must to ensure high performance.
