Default Some battle damage

If you've ever wondered why I used 1/8" aluminum plate to armor my hull, wonder no more

Some of you here may know I like to take my jet boat out on rapids. Today I got just plain nasty with her, it was a blast. I dont think I've had this much fun with a model anything until today. I havent run rapids with this boat since it had a 540 motor with 6 cells. Now that I'm running a 700sc on 16 cells, the thing is completely nuts. Probably the closest thing to running full scale jet sprint boats. I'll also add the water was between 0-3" deep, flipped her a few times, but she self-righted.

Anyway I thought I'd share what a common day on the stream does to the paint job. I probably should just stop painting the bottom. I gotta say there's nothing like ripping up 75ft of staggered rapids at 25mph and then coming back down +10mph or so. I did switch out my shafts first since I tend to bash my impeller up pretty good. I did in fact take a hunk out of blade but I can fix it, it's my river running impeller anyway.

Oh yeah and I will be filming this soon, I want to use my new camera and I had to order something for it today, so should have a video up in a week. in 640x480 res. no more grainy videos
