Default RE: Do Leaky carb & muffler make a difference in Engine's Performance?

The high wing with the 46 is leaking from the "nipple"? Is this the pressure line nipple or the exhaust opening? If fuel dripping from pressure nipple, that's unusual but not a big deal. Nipple is usually too high for fuel to leak out of it. If coming out exhaust, probably just unburned (rich) fuel residue.

The low wing with the 30 is leaking from the carb needle, not a remote needle? As long as fuel is leaking "out" and air is not leaking "in" you should be OK but wasteful. Hazardous? I wouldn't think so. May cause fuel/oil soaking of wood though. Most of the fuel methanol will evaporate quickly especially if engine running.
