Some of your noise issue may be due to weight. If you put the some of the stock tail over the boom, you have added weight. The CX doesn't care much for that. And if the new flybar adds just a bit more weight your flight times will be shorter than before.
I don't know for a fact that the new flybar is heavier, but I think that the secret to their success is a shorter bar with heavier weights. That will improve flight dynamics, as you noted, and also leave a good hover. The downside is the extra weight.
Too bad we can't have it all.
