Default RE: NEW~~~E-Flite Extra 260 480 ARF~~~

Motor choice wasn't the only reason I passed on this one. Frankly the last few 40+ inchers I've had can't seem to hold up very long. Between rough field flying(landing gear) and passing the transimitter around they just get abused in flight. Can't remember the last time I totalled a balsa plane by crashing(dumb thumbing), always a stripped servo, blown control hardware, control horns(plywood) letting go in flight. I even blew up a carbon wing tube in my last plane.(notice I'm being nice and not naming names)Have had to go up to the 50-60+" range to get a plane durable enough to take day in day out 3D stuff. The tail feathers on this one are a little on the flexible side. And the wing didn't seem to be too torsionally rigid out at the wingtips. Read someone already had a lightpole jump out and grab a wing tip[&:] and there was some minimal damage, somewhat encouraging. Figured for once let someone else test a plane out first and I'll maybe do one later after I can check out all the upgrades, fixes. Scorpion motors look like they are the hot ticket too. Going to pick up the 3020-14 for another project. Their ESC's look promising too. At those prices I can afford to test them out. And lastly the other reason: Zero Gravity PITTS PYTHON 42"!!!! Much as I like 260's....[:@]
