I believe he likes both the Brillelli and the DL. I know he thinks higher of the DL than one similar to it.
As for the G-62, a VERY big part of the aggravation with that comes from so many people for so many years telling all how much better their engine was over the 62. Truth be told the 62 was superior to most all of them, and in many cases still is, only suffering some due to a higher weight. He fixed that part once and for all. We still hear that crud about this engine or another being better than the 62. If they are so what? They've had over 20 years to try and make a better engine, and none have the stamina of the 62. Let's not fail to remember that without the 62 the other guys would have never had anything to shoot for, AND they would have had to develop their own designs. It's easy to make an engine when you already have a pattern to copy
The truth is in the race planes. You'll see the Zenoahs, the Aerrows, and the Herbies. So where are all the other "better" engines?
Oh, almost forgot. Mr. Reivers is also one of those 5 or 6 engine people that I always trust.
