Default RE: Summary on reactor ep/gp 50size?

ORIGINAL: malcolmm

The bottom line for me is that my Reactor is my current favourite 3D plane, and I have owned/flown a lot of them. Also currently in my hanger is a Showtime 90 and a Somenzini Yak 72". Obviously the Yak has some advantages over the Reactor, but I enjoy flying the Reactor more and I can do more with it.

As for the covering, it looks great, but there is a problem with it. The colour layer does tend to separate from the clear layer, so some maintenance with ca glue is necessary. But the covering rarely sags, and after almost 100 flights on my Reactor it looks as good as new. I would say I've spent approximately an hour or two maintaining the covering.

As for the landing gear issue, it's a non issue. Just reverse the gear if you fly off grass.

If Great Planes makes a larger size Reactor I will buy it, provided I can fit it in my apartment (less than 50 cc size).

Well, don't get me wrong on the flying aspect of it. I love the way it flies. It took me a bit to get it to how I wanted it to fly but it does fly great. Just not sure how long it's going to last.
