Yes, you can turn it off on a sepatate channel but I don't think that was really the question he was asking. I have all three of my jets setup that way on my DX-7 using the gear switch but it can't be done using a Y-cable to save a channel, nor can it be done using a matchbox. At least I don't see how to make it work. I just thought he should realize this before he spent money on a matchbox...Gary
