Thanks for the offer but I followed the link above to the manual.

I have decided to use a Smart Fly Power Expander EQ10 with my DX7, this will avoid needing any Y-leads + x number of matchboxes and will allow me to use the seven channels, and provide a nice source of power to the RX (important for Spektrum RXs apparently) and allow me to still decide on battery/regulator setup.
