well i have some good news!
today i went to the woods where my heli crashed and looked around for a while. i ended up finding the main co-pilot sensor under some leaves! very lucky that i won't have to spend $45 on a new one. it still works perfectly, although it got grazed by the blade. i'm certain that the other, vertical sensor, is within a 3'x3' area where i found this sensor alpng with a couple of things. anyone in the area with a metal detector? lol
