My 8ight-T was built really well, I have not had any problems due to it's build. I did check it over, since my RTR buggy wasn't put together real well. I don't see being preassembled that big of an issue, if it is, you could just disassemble and rebuild, or don't buy it. I would not be suprised if preassembled car cost less, since the kit has all the work that goes in to the documenting the directions, packaging parts, and dealing with pissed off people that claim a part was missing or broke half way through assembly.
