I started work on the F-100 and I want to mention the tool I found.

www.Micromark.com offers a saw blade that fits the exacto knife handle, part# 14346 is a .010 thick x 40 teeth per inch
saw blade that is perfect for cutting the gear doors and other openings and it allows the thinest gaps between parts.
At $2.60 per pack of two it is a cheap investment. I highly recommend them.

So what work has been done? All the gear doors have been cut and I have opened all of the scale holes in the fuseage.
I've checked the fit between the front and aft fuse section and it is perfect. The wing tube reinforcements have been glued in place and the stab cross shaft formers have been glued in place too.

As I open the various scale openings the model is really coming to life!
