CG, I agre with you 110% . At our airfield we have a taxiway straight out from the pits and then 2 angled taxiways to bring in your plane. You will see the white line on the taxi out lane that is the line where you shut down your plane when you taxi in. Here is what our runway looks like.
http://www.hawksrc.org/ There is absolutely no reason to risk anyones safety because someone, in my opinion is too lazy to push, pull or carry their plane back. My thought is these planes as much as we check, check and re-check them things happen that are out of our control. Just like getting shot down or someone turns on their TX and on the same channel and that throttle is all the way up. That plane is going right at everyone in the pits, cars and by-standers. Not worth the risk. SAFETY FIRST always.
