Maybe you forgot Roland Matt's engine that punched a hole in the crankcase. ANY engine, be it DA, 3W, BME, Brison, etc.. can and will have the occasional failure.
All of the engines mentioned will do the job quite well. I'm loyal to DA because of the level of service I've received from Dave Johnson over the years.
