quick questions on what to expect tomorrow on my corsair
Crash,
I had this arf... That's all I'll say about that!
This plane is a pig in my opinion. I powered it with a saito .72 and it had plenty of power but I found the ailerons kept blanking out at slow speeds but where very touchy at high speeds. You might want to program in some expodential in the ailerons to allow for this.
Make sure your tailwheel assy. is reenforced. If you did not do any extra reenforcement you WILL break it no matter how gental your landings are. GP did a poor job on the tailwheel IMHO.
Just give her plenty of time to build up speed before you pull her off the ground. she WILL tip stall. Just make a long gental climb out before you turn her. Keep some power on her landing. She's kinda heavy for an ARF and has a high sink rate.
Not trying to scare you about it but just wanted you to learn from my bad experience with this plane. Just keep these things in mind and she'll do fine!
Good luck!
