One other bad aspect of using flaperons on a plane like this. Dropping the ailerons is tantamount to adding "wash in" instead of washout. You don't want to do that. In fact, if you suspect that the plane would benefit from some washout, you might want to do just the opposite and adjust both ailerons up just a bit. Maybe 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch each. This will mimick washout in the wingtips giving you a little more stall resistance at low speed.
