Make sure you put the piston at BDC while cooling between cycles. How hot does a hair dryer get the engine when preheating? I use a heat gun and get my engine up to at least 190 degrees before starting while breaking in. Keep us posted.

My GF's hair dryer is 1875 watts, so it was able to get the engine to about 190, I just had to leave it on there for a bit longer than a real heat gun.
I can usually tune, but I did not turn down the help of a 15 year veteran sponsored driver, for it's first tune. He still tuned it rich, and said to start leaning for performance after another 1/2 gallon.
This STS motor is actually in my 8-T, but I started with the Mach427 engine that I stole from my rtr buggy. To be honest, my Fioroni clutch is engaging way to soon, there for I have no low end punch. Needless to say with I was not impressed, but I did not expect the .21 to have the low end of .28. I will get new shoes and harder springs and try her out again.
