The plane will be much, much more sensitive to pitch inputs with the forward stab position. I agree with Lou on the c/g condition. It's quite possible that your stab position is contributing a lot of the pitch to the gear. With a fairly neutral CG and aft stabs there is very little pitch to the gear in normal KE. High alpha KE for straight flight has a bit more pitch, and a KE loop encounters some roll coupling along with the elevator.
I don't know if you tried any fast KE spins but she goes around almost too fast to count when you toss power at it in the spin. It's pretty easy to start a slow KE spin then increase the spin rate as desired using throttle. She gets real fast! Funny that the descent rate does not increase with the spin rate. Remains the same fast or slow as it comes down.
