Default RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

Welcome, Link.
Take it from someone with 2 PnP T-=-T's, and love 'em both. Being up in the mountains, you'll have a blast flying in that wind that trys to keep the dust off highway 58. . . lol

One of my birds has the EVO.46, and thats the one I fly most. Put an APC 12.25x3.75 on it and you'll be almost set. Keep the pushrods on the #3 hole on the conrtol horns and set the throws per the manual. first flight will be really nice and the CG should be OK right out of the box. check it just to play it safe. should be around 4.75 to 5 inches from LE. it's also wise to replace the tail wheel assembly with the one offered by Sullivan so you'll save the rudder should you come down a little hard. On the maiden flight, keep it on low rates and do a few approaches to get the feel of how she handles coming into the wind: she's a floater, for sure. you'll find out that this plane lands easier than your trainer (as long as you keep the speed up: she gets a little squirrily at near stall speeds) and just have a blast. This is one awsome flying plane. it's not an all out 3d'er, but trust us all that you'll fly it till the wood disintigrates. it's just that fun to fly. . . . .
again, welcome to the thread. . .
