Default Any point in buying a simulator?

At Sandown i had a quick go on Aerofly Professional.
It was 100% realistic. I could not tell the difference bettween real life prophanging and torque rolling and the stuff i was doing on the simulator. It is truly great, someday i may actually have the money to spare to actually get one!
I can say that i wish i had one. I would be a hell of a lot better at flying if i had bought one a year ago. You can try stuff that you would not otherwise risk a real plane for- and once you have mastered the risky tricks and gained confidence- do it for real!
Some guys say that you can practise these risky moves in reality but with height to correct mistakes. All i can say is that the crunch when your virtual plane hits terra firma is much more satisfying, and there is nothing like trying some new tricks right down on the deck without fear of losing your pride and joy. One disadvantage is that you do not have the same field of view as in real life, so the plane dissappears very quickly when it is going away from you.
I wish i had one!
