I learned to fly in about 2.5 hours of flighttime. It is possible to solo very soon, but it al depends on you. I have had a lot flightsims but no RC, microsoft stuff, and I think that helps a lot. The best is to have a good instructor and lots of free time to practice, you have to fly regularly when you are learning.
