RE: CG Edge 540



I found the 100mm to be perfect, this plane is fantastic for what it is.

Did a electric set up with a BL 60 E-flite, 2- 11.1 v 5000 18c in series, CC 80 ESC, 16x8E APC and a JR 1500mah rx batt with JR DS821 servos. I can change the CG buy moving the RX battery and have, and found the 100mm CG point to be the best. Have over 50 + flights on this set up. The key to happy adventures with this plane is the overall wgt, keep it light!!! around 8lbs or under if you can and keep the elevator throws at a min for normal flying, it don't take much. I think you guys would be shocked to see what this plane can do in the hands of expert 3D pilot, max you can get on all throws is ok BUT dont try this if you are not 100% capable of extream 3D flying. You would be proud of her for sure.

This plane will bite you bad if you play with high rates if your not ready( heavey wing load)

FYI , the set up I am using will NOT pull out of a hover with vertical, it will hover and roll out or tip out but not stright up. It will pull vertical great out of a pass. To try and get any more out of her with electric is not feasible do to cost, the next step gets way more expensive with HV ESC and high voltage batt's, and with the overall wgt with the batteries, I am at 8.13 lbs any more and I think it would take away from the funfactor. I will take the 10 min of flying time and sacrifice the pull out. I could have used an ultimate BEC to save wgt but I needed the RX batt to achieve CG

The kit comes with two tail strut braces, save some wgt and time, you only need one. Put it in the rear by the elevator. If it was gona break using only one mine would have, trust me on this.

The plane will land on the slow side without tipp stall but the gear will bend, best to land her with some speed and take her home in one piece .

I am very happy with this plane and would not hesitate to recomend it
