Default RE: When to lean out

OK...played with the settings today. I was able to lean it out a bit on the low end and none on the high end. Transition is smooth, idle is reliable. Seems to run good.

I'm still noticing quite a hump in the throttle curve. The motor does have a canister exhaust and this may explain things. It's kind of like a 2-stroke dirt bike with a pipe...the power is very peaky.

Also, is it common practice for the gasser guys to put access holes in the cowl to make mixture adjustments easier? I had to set my needles with the cowl off. I backed them off just a hair to the rich side to hopefully account for engine temp. When it cools off (it's 95* right now), I know I'll have to richen up the needles.
