I had a yellow bee as well. Its all thrust to control this thing, no control surfaces! So its very hard for a beginner to fly. If you are seriously looking into flying then look for a club in the area or even a group of guys at a park and most likely they will give you information overload, but will help you get something you will be happy with and be able to fly. If you want to stay electric there are some really nice RTF's (ready to fly) around 200 bucks, and if you go Nitro you can get started around 250 to 350 bucks. I'm not up on whats a good electric RTF though. Nitro I could help I LOVE the smell and the mess of them so its what I fly.
