Choppers Checking In:

Been flying the tail off the HBK2 and a couple good ones with the Trex. The Trex is still in prestine condition, the HBK2, I crashed twice.
Nothing bad, first crash busted blade. Second crash looked terrible, lost it in the wind. Came in nose first at a 45 degrees angle, and KA-POW! Throttled down and throttle trim down before she hit. Shaking my head and a little smile on the face, I walked over. Low and behold, no damage. This sucker is tuff, OOOPS, further investigation showed that the HS50 tail servo popped apart and the tiny little gears weren't there anymore. Off to the work bench, studied the HS50 servo and found that it is only pressed/snaps together, no screws at all holding the front and back of the servo case together like the HS55 or S75's. Waiting on parts now, or I could borrow the servo from the Trex, naaa, I'll wait. All in all had a great last 3 or 4 days flying. It's been awful hot and humid. I work outside all day at the job and it sucks.

Noah,

Your quote:
WHOA, I have a 9 room 75+ year old house that has been kicking my ass for 5 years now. Been slowly self-restoring from ground up since I bought it. I cant imagine have double the space to maintane. Never ends is an understatement! lol
Also Glad to hear your flying is going well.

After mentioning always changing light bulbs,I did a light bulb count the other day, ready for this, 93 florescent/incondesent bulbs, not a typo either 93. Holy Light Bulbs Batman!!!!

Arrow,
Great pics of the Trex, man you're lucky on the Trex getting caught in the wind and not gettin' clobbered or something. Great pic of Jacki and the Estarter, the one she's holding the crash, she still has a smile on her face. You guys are hooked and make a great team. Tell Jacki, that Chopper said, "Hi" and that a few black polka dots on the lavendar would look cool. Different sizes of course.[8D]

Radio,

I'm not a Ford fan either, just thought I'd be the smart ***** on the block. I'm the old guy and drive one of them thar big ***** Buicks. LMAO.[sm=spinnyeyes.gif] I checked out the Camaro, is this the one your gonna get. See pic at end of post.
Oh, and hang on to the ledge, i'm right behind ya in my chopper.[8D] ETA 20 seconds.(picture 2)

Rex,
What heli are you putting the HS55's on? What problems ya havin'? Got any pics of the problem. I'd be glad to help ya out. It may be easier to modify the servos than modify the swash and all the linkages. That could end up a nightmare or maybe not work at all. IMHO, i'd be sceptical of changing the head design at all. The wiring modification on the servos is a known workable solution.

Crashcrash,
Your top secret project, is [sm=47_47.gif] Shhhh, not a word. Come on, you can tell US!!

TO ALL THE WEEEE DUDES:

Here's a site for the new Art-Tech, " Shark 450", awefully nice looking heli. However, Art-Tech is the same company that made the Falcon 3d and had a lot of trouble with it early on. Even Hobby-Lobby has dropped the Falcons. If anyone is interested, I'd hold off for 6 months or so and wait to see the reviews. Actually, I don't believe the Shark has been released for sale yet, but should be coming out very soon.
Here's the link for the shark: http://www.art-tech.cn/english/Artic...?ArticleID=170
