Default RE: IDENTIFY THIS PLANE PLEASE

I'm guessing a modified Modeltech Cap21. THe canopy is a dead give-away that its a Cap. The ARC Modeltech Cap21 had some real funky gear. They were aluminum gear, but cut in half. Each half was bolted to its respective wing. It was problem-matic. And it looks as if someone has tried to circumnavigate the gear issue by installing a one-peice set. The cowl in the kit was originally wooden. But you might find a fiberglass aftermarket replacement cowl. Then the rudder has been modified or repaired. The Modeltech Cap21 had a foam wing, covered with balsa. The fuselage was built up with balsa tail feathers. It called for a 40 to 60 size engine.
IF the wing is built up, then it isn't the Modeltech Cap. There was also a kit in the late 80's , and early 90's. I think it was great planes. Both were considered to be snappy. Many were crashed/totalled or crashed and repaired.
